Luncheon a chance to quiz legislators
Members of the public and the media alike will have an opportunity to ask questions of state sentators and representatives from Knox and the surrounding counties at ETSPJ's annual Legislative Preview Luncheon.
Find out how they'll represent this area in the 107th General Assembly. What issues will they see as priorities, and which would they be willing to put on the back burner, by preference or for economic reasons?
Members of the public and the media alike will get an opportunity to ask those questions of state senators and representatives from Knox and the surrounding counties this weekend at the East Tennessee Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists’ annual Legislative Preview Luncheon.
The event is set for noon Saturday at Calhoun’s on Bearden Hill, 6515 Kingston Pike, in Knoxville.
Planning to attend are Sen. Doug Overbey, R-Maryville; Rep. Ryan A. Haynes, R-Knoxville; Rep. Bill Dunn, R-Knoxville; Sen. Becky Duncan Massey, R-Knoxville; Rep. Harry Brooks, R-Knoxville and Rep. Joe Armstrong, D-Knoxville.
Local WATE-TV anchor Gene Patterson will moderate.
