East Tennessee SPJ’s annual awards program, the Golden Press Card Awards, is specifically for East Tennessee journalists, recognizing outstanding professional achievement and service to the community. Journalists working in East Tennessee for daily and non-daily newspapers, other print media, radio and television stations as well as Internet sites may enter. We also have categories appropriate for freelance writers who reside in East Tennessee but whose work appears in outlets with headquarters outside our area.
Deadline for this year's Golden Press Card Awards contest is Feb. 28. The awards banquet will be April 20 at the Crowne Plaza in downtown Knoxville.
